Waleska Fence Installation

Waleska is as close to rural north Georgia as you get within Cherokee County. The presence of Reinhardt University and the Lake Arrowhead community brings some residential density, but the surrounding area is mostly large wooded tracts, agricultural land, and long driveways. Fencing out here is a different conversation than in a Woodstock subdivision.

The bulk of our Waleska work involves larger lots — property boundary runs that measure in hundreds of feet, not tens. Board-and-rail farm fence is the workhorse: three-board or four-board configurations that give a clear visual boundary, work for horses or livestock, and age naturally alongside the land. We set every post in concrete, including on long agricultural runs where it might be tempting to skip it. Cherokee County’s clay doesn’t give you that option — the posts will shift if you don’t anchor them properly.

Woven wire with wood posts is the choice when containment matters more than aesthetics: keeping livestock in, keeping wildlife out, or securing a perimeter where farm fence alone isn’t practical. Drive gates and walk gates are standard additions.

Closer to Reinhardt or the Lake Arrowhead community, the demand shifts toward wood privacy and vinyl. Lakefront and hillside lots come with grade changes, and we rack or step the fence panels to follow the slope rather than leaving gaps.
